Emirates Cricket Board officially announces team to represent the UAE in the Asia Cup Qualifiers 2018

 

- UAE will compete against Malaysia, Hong Kong, Nepal, Oman, and Singaporefor a place in the Asia Cup 2018 - 

- To be played in a 50-over format the qualifier will be hosted in Malaysia commencing August 29th through to September 6th -

Set to take place in Malaysia, the qualifier (played in a 50-over format) will commence on Wednesday August 29th and be played through to Thursday September 6th (2018).

UAE will compete against Malaysia, Hong Kong, Nepal, Oman, and Singapore in their bid to secure their place in the 2018 Asia Cup (which will be played in the UAE mid to late September).

Waleed Bukhatir, Emirates Cricket Board Member and Chief Selector said; “Securing our place to compete in the 2018 Asia Cup, which is being hosted on home-soil, is of the utmost importance. Our players and the coaching team have been exceptionally committed to their training throughout the summer, and we are confident they will put forward a winning performance and secure the remaining place (in the Cup).”
