UAE to take on Netherlands and hosts Oman in ICC CWC League 2 series matches

Dubai, 25 October 2024: A 15-member UAE team led by batter Rahul Chopra will take on the Netherlands and hosts Oman in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series next month. Rahul replaces Mohammad Waseem as the team’s captain, Waseem is part of the squad. The ICC CWC League 2 is part of the qualifying pathway for the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2027. 

 

UAE will take on the hosts in their opening match of the tri-series on Friday, 1 November. Their second match will be against the Netherlands on Sunday, 3 November followed by a clash against Oman Thursday, 7 November. UAE’s last match of the tri-series will be against the Netherlands on Saturday, 9 November.
