Prithvi Madhu to captain 14-member UAE squad for ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup Asia Qualifier

Dubai, 4 April 2025: Middle-order batter Prithvi Madhu will captain UAE in the ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup Asia Qualifier which will be played in Kathmandu, Nepal from Sunday, 13 April. Five teams will be competing in the qualifier with the top team at the end of the 10-match tournament securing a berth in the ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup 2026 which will be played in Zimbabwe and Namibia. 

 

Other than UAE and hosts Nepal, Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Oman are the participants. UAE will play Nepal in their tournament opener at the Lower Mulpani Ground on 13 April. They next play Afghanistan at the Upper Mulpani Ground on 16 April, Oman at the Lower Mulpani Ground on 17 April and Hong Kong at the Upper Mulpani Ground on 19 April. The team will leave for Kathmandu on Sunday, 6 April.

Sunday, 13 April – Nepal vs UAE,  Lower Mulpani Ground

Wednesday, 16 April – Afghanistan vs UAE, Upper Mulpani Ground

Thursday, 17 April – UAE vs Oman, Lower Mulpani Ground

Saturday, 19 April – UAE vs Hong Kong, Upper Mulpani Ground
