UAE to host Pakistan and Afghanistan in T20I Tri-Series in Sharjah from 29 August


Dubai, 1 August 2025: UAE will host Pakistan and Afghanistan in a seven-match T20I Tri-Series at the historic Sharjah Cricket Stadium from Friday, 29 August. The three teams will play each other twice in the six-match group stage. The top two teams will then compete in the Sunday, 7 September final.
Afghanistan will take on Pakistan in the tournament opener (Friday, 29 August). UAE will play Pakistan on Saturday 30 August followed by Afghanistan’s clash against UAE on Monday, 1 September and their second group-stage match against Pakistan on Tuesday, 2 September.
Pakistan and UAE’s second group-stage match will be played on Thursday, 4 September followed by the Afghanistan-UAE match on Friday, 5 September.
The tournament will provide the ideal preparation opportunity to the three teams ahead of the eight-team ACC Asia Cup 2025 which will be played in the UAE from 9 September.
Match tickets and broadcast details for the T20I Tri-Series will be announced in the next few days.
