ECB initiates recruitment process for UAE National Women’s Team’s Head Coach

Dubai, 23 June 2026: The Emirates Cricket Board has initiated recruitment process for UAE National Women’s Team’s Head Coach. The applications for the opportunity can be submitted by Sunday, 5 July at nationalcoach@emiratescricket.com.

 

The key responsibilities of this position will entail:

  • Lead and manage the UAE National Women’s Cricket Team and U-19 or other age group Women’s Teams to achieve international performance objectives and competitive success.
  • Develop and execute annual high-performance plans, competition strategies, and team objectives aligned with ECB’s vision, with a focus on progression on the ICC Ranking tables across formats of the game.
  • Create and sustain a high-performance culture focused on excellence, accountability, discipline, teamwork, resilience, and professionalism.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive coaching programs covering technical, tactical, physical, and mental development and have a strong understanding of modern sports coaching techniques.
  • Plan and conduct training sessions, net practices, fielding drills, match simulations, and performance camps.
  • Develop, monitor, and review Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for all players.
  • Provide regular player assessments, performance feedback, mentoring, and one-on-one coaching support.
  • Work closely with strength & conditioning, medical, and performance support staff to optimize player readiness and welfare.
  • Lead all aspects of match preparation, including game plans, tactical strategies, opposition analysis, and match reviews.
  • Utilize video analysis, performance data, and analytics to support player development and strategic decision-making.
  • Establish measurable performance standards, KPIs, and benchmarking systems for players.
  • Identify emerging talent through domestic competitions, pathway programs, scouting initiatives, and development camps.
  • Support the development and strengthening of the women’s cricket pathway from grassroots to elite performance levels.
  • Collaborate with academies, development programs, and stakeholders to ensure a sustainable pipeline of future national players.
  • Work with Selection Committees to support transparent, merit-based player selection and squad composition.
  • Foster leadership development, positive team dynamics, and a strong team environment in partnership with team leadership.
  • Collaborate with ECB management, support staff, and stakeholders to align high-performance and strategic objectives.
  • Act as an ambassador for UAE women’s cricket, promoting the game nationally and internationally.
  • Ensure compliance with ECB, ICC, and all relevant governance, safeguarding, welfare, and ethical standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional responsibilities as directed by ECB Management to support the growth of women’s cricket in the UAE.
