Aayan Afzal Khan to lead UAE in ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup
Dubai, 6 December 2023: All-rounder Aayan Afzal Khan will lead the UAE in the eight-team ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup that will be played at the ICC Academy Ovals 1 and 2, Dubai from Friday, 9 December. UAE are placed in Pool B, Bangladesh, Japan and Sri Lanka are the other teams in the pool. Afghanistan, India, Nepal and Pakistan are the four teams in Pool A.
UAE take on Bangladesh in their tournament opener on Saturday, 9 December at the ICC Academy Oval 1. They play Sri Lanka on Monday, 11 December at the same venue. UAE’s third and final group match is with Japan on Wednesday, 13 December at the ICC Academy Oval 2.
The tournament semi-finals will be played on 15 December with the final to be staged at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday 17 December.
