Emirates Cricket Board announces team to represent the UAE in upcoming ODI tri-match-series against Nepal

Emirates Cricket Board has today announced the team that will represent the UAE in the opening match of the upcoming ODI tri-match-series against Nepal.


To be played in the UAE the first match will be played on Friday January 25th, the second match scheduled Saturday January 26th with the series wrapping-up on Monday January 28th (2019).  All matches will be played at the ICC Academy (ICCA) at Dubai Sports City, starting at 9.30am (UAE time).


Entry to watch all matches is free, and with what is anticipated to be a highly-popular series, access to the ICCA will be strictly limited where entry will be on a first-come-first-served basis.Subsequently, to satisfy the cricket-loving community and in an exciting first for Emirates Cricket, Friday’s opening match will be live-streamed (more details to follow).


Waleed Bukhatir, Emirates Cricket Board Member and Chief Selector said; “We are delighted to welcome Nepal to the UAE for this (ODI) series, and we expect a strong performance from our team under the captaincy of Naveed.” “We are also very excited to take the match to a wider, international audience through live streaming, and we anticipate this will be exceptionally well received across the region.” added Bukhatir.
